RE students attend international research conference

Students in the Marine Field Research class at the upper school prepared for end-of-semester assessments by attending an international scientific research conference alongside some 20,000 scientists from around the world. RE students joined the online American Geophysical Union's Fall Meeting in December, participating in various workshops and sessions.
The American Geophysical Union conference is considered one of the world’s most prestigious, cutting-edge scientific conferences. RE’s Marine Field Research students had the opportunity to attend virtual talks and poster sessions. Their participation in the conference helped them prepare for their end-of-semester projects, presenting and reviewing peer-reviewed scientific papers.

Their membership in the American Geophysical Union will remain active through 2021 so they can continue to utilize the wealth of resources and publications AGU offers its members. Marine Field Research students are taught by Drs. Kelly Jackson, Brooke Gintert and Kristine Stump.
