Students score in Battlebots

Four RE teams won medals at the Robotics Battlebot Challenge tournament at the Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition on April 7, capturing first and second prizes in the 15-lb. robot and 3-lb. categories. Max Swietelsky ’21, Eric Medina ’21 and Adam Kaplan ’21 (15 lb.) and Gabriel Vianna '21 (3 lb.) landed at the top of the podium. Jacob Wolfe ’21 (15 lb.) and Logan Smith '22 (3 lb.) claimed second-place finishes. The robots of Wolfe and Vianna also were named Best Engineered in their classes. The students were led by robotics coach Bob DuBard.
