Seniors get Silver Knight recognition

Two Ransom Everglades seniors won honorable mention in the 61st annual Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald Silver Knight Awards event on May 17 at the James L. Knight Center. Anna Mistele '19 earned recognition in the mathematics category and Isa Pena '19 in drama, distinguishing themselves among the more than 700 high school senior nominees from schools across Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
Ninety seniors earned honorable mention recognition, receiving plaques and $500 prizes.

Ransom Everglades had nine other nominees: Yiduan Zheng '19 in world languages; Abigail Roberts '19 in athletics,; Reading Beardslee '19 in digital and interactive media; Oliver Stern '19 in speech; Aliya Hollub '19 in art;  Luke Elegant '19 in social science; Quinn Harrelson '19 in English and literature; Maggie McDowell '19 in music and dance; and Chloe Chua '19 in science.
