RE Crew competes at the prestigious 55th Head of the Charles Regatta

55th Annual Head of the Charles (Saturday and Sunday October 20th & 21st, 2019)
RE Crew took 4 crews to the 55th Head of the Charles in Boston, MA and raced in the Women’s & Men’s 2x and 4x+ events. One of the largest regattas in the world, the HoCR's winding and technical 3 mile course between Boston and Cambridge places a focus on both fitness and boat speed and excellent course selection for ultimate success. RE Crew raced hard in glorious weather on Sunday and measured themselves against some of the fastest junior crews in the world and, while not achieving victory, came away with valuable experience with which these rowers will be able to take forward in their racing efforts.
The Women’s Youth 4x+ of novice/junior coxswain Alessia Gangone, senior stroke Julia Buckner and sophomores Mollie Forand, Amelia Fox and Lilly Etra placed 43rd / 43.
The Men’s Youth 2x of seniors Aston Craft and Jackson Bryan placed 33rd / 47.
The Women’s Youth 2x of freshman (!) Malena Tewari and Veronica Kerr placed 43rd / 46.
The Men’s Youth 4x+ of junior coxswain Fahren Hatami, senior Julien Bacon, junior Felipe Campano, sophomore Phillip Craft and freshman Thomas Segrera placed 41st / 48.
RE Crew next sees action at the 2019 Head of the Hooch Regatta in Chattanooga, TN November 2nd & 3rd.
