This weekend Javi Garcon'21 participated in the ISSA High School Cressy Singlehanded National Championships in Santa Barbara, CA.  Javi was one of only three that qualified from our SAISA district championship regatta hosted by Ransom Everglades back in September.  This was a great accomplishment as Javi was competing against 46 boats. At this weekend's regatta Javi competed against 18 of the best High School singlehanded sailors in the country. Saturday's racing saw beautiful  Southern California weather and 7-10 knots winds.  Nine races were completed. Sunday morning provided little wind and a postponement. By noon the winds picked up and the regatta finished with 5 additional races. In total, 14 races were run with Javi finishing in 16th place.
