Ransom Everglades Coordinator of Student-Athlete College Recruitment Roger Caron offered a frank and information-packed primer to RE student-athletes and their parents on the college athletic recruiting landscape. Caron shared vital insights into a process that has changed greatly over the last two decades, and tailored his remarks to student-athletes at every stage of the process, beginning with freshman year.
During his presentation at the Lewis Family Auditorium Dec. 10, Caron outlined the national recruiting landscape from Division I to Division III. He urged students to be aggressive in the recruiting process by reaching out directly to coaches, visiting schools, attending meaningful camps or clinics throughout their high school careers, and, most importantly, taking rigorous courses and performing well
