Raiders move to 4-0 with 20-1 victory
The Raiders continued their hot shooting on Wednesday night going 20 for 27 from the field as they were led by the senior pair of Gaby Pena '20 (three goals, one assist) and Sophia Antezana '20 (three goals, five assists, eight draw controls). Other Raiders who contributed to the scoring included junior Maya Rego '21 (three goals), Isa Ponce '21 (two goals), Rachel Beinstock '21 (two goals) and Jojo Pena '22 (two goals). Brinson Cusack '21, Georgia Crosby '21, Emma G '23 and Sara Broad '23 also added a goal, and Hanna Hicks '21 assisted a goal. The Raiders dominated the ground ball battle, securing a season-high 31 ground balls lead by the stellar play of Jojo Pena (5 GBs) and Sophia Antezana (4GBs). Helaina Harris '21 stopped 2 shots in goal to keep the Hurricanes off the board until late in the final minutes. With the victory the Raiders remain undefeated as they welcome Cardinal Gibbons to Robert E. Walker Field, Saturday morning at 11:30 AM.
