Senior Lucas Ortiz '21 continued his strong start to the 20-21 season notching a double double with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and five steals that included the go ahead free throw with four seconds left to give the Raiders a one point victory. Junior Aidan Rothstein '22 had his best game of the year with six points, two rebounds, one block, and one steal to go along with a strong defensive performance. The Raiders were able to erase a 14 point deficit early on with a 34-8 run over the final 10 minutes of the first half. Gulliver Prep would chip away at RE's lead and eventually tie the game at 52-52 with 30 seconds remaining. Ortiz would come through late with a strong move to the basket resulting in a free throw conversion and the Raiders would get one final stop to close out the game. The Raiders will get back to practice today as they prepare to host Miami Beach Senior High School, Thursday afternoon. Game time is scheduled for 5:00 PM at the Henry H. Anderson Gymnasium.
