RE Sailing wins regional event

Ransom Everglades School finished first in the South Atlantic Interscholastic Sailing Association South Points Regatta No. 3 in Vero Beach on March 27, topping 17 teams from schools throughout Florida. Sailors Javi Garcon '21, Liam O'Keefe '21, Nicolas Echarte '21 and Lucas Vianna '21 secured the victory.
Stephan Baker '22 and Aidan Murphy '21 also competed for Ransom Everglades.

In the regional regatta, the third of four scheduled for 2020-21, RE sailors finished ahead of Immaculata La Salle and St Thomas Aquinas of Fort Lauderdale. The victory pushed RE into a three-way tie for second place in the overall regional standings, just two points behind Immaculata. The sailors train under coach Joe Logan.
