Student service activities planned for MLK Day

Students and faculty are planning a host of service activities on both campuses for RE's Fourth Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. At the middle school, members of the school community are invited to participate in sewing dresses and shirts for children in Haiti and donating items for a food drive for Greater St. Paul AME Church, which provides meals to the underserved in Coconut Grove. At the upper school, students and faculty will be weaving plastic mats and assembling toiletry bags for homeless people and joining in a mangrove clean up.
