Sabrina Shipley ‘22 earns FHSAA Academic All-State Award

Swimmer and water polo player Sabrina Shipley ’22 was one of just 12 female students selected to the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA)  28th Annual Academic All-State Team, the FHSAA announced on April 6.  Selection to the team includes a scholarship which is funded annually by the Florida Dairy Farmers Association as a means to honor graduating student-athletes who excel in both athletics and academics. Shipley was selected based on accomplishments such as a 4.10 GPA, a perfect score on the ACT and athletic excellence demonstrated in both water polo and swimming.  Shipley was further recognized for service to her school and community through accomplishments such as serving as the vice president of Mu Alpha Theta, STEM-focused initiatives and numerous charitable activities. All all-state honorees will be recognized at a June 6 banquet in Gainesville. “We congratulate Sabrina on this tremendous honor and look forward to watching her close out a stellar career as she and her water polo teammates continue their playoff run,” stated Corey Goff, Director of Athletics and Physical Education. Shipley will attend Brown University next fall.
