City National Bank celebrated for its generous gift

Members of Ransom Everglades School leadership celebrated the naming of the City National Bank Lobby with special guests from the bank on June 21. Located inside the Lewis Family Auditorium, the lobby is the entry point for many important school events such as convocation, student assemblies, plays concerts, special events, speaker series and most notably, commencement.
As a generous supporter of Ransom Everglades for nearly 10 years, City National Bank has sponsored the school’s REEF (Ransom Everglades Epic Fishing) tournament and served as the lead sponsor of Ransom Everglades Parents’ Association’s annual auction event. Most recently, the bank has invested in the school with a donation for financial aid and capital projects at RE, culminating in the naming of the lobby.

“We are thrilled to partner with City National Bank of Florida on this gift," Interim Head of School Rachel Rodriguez said, "and we want to especially thank CEO & Vice Chairman of the Board, Jorge and his wonderful wife, Melinda Gonzalez, who are parents of Jordan and Ella, RE Class of 2024.”

Gonzalez shared the enthusiasm for the relationship. “We are a proud partner of Ransom Everglades, which is a pillar in the community," he said. "We recognize how important it is to give back, and we are honored to be able to do so.”

Also in attendance from City National Bank were Eddie Dominguez, Director of Marketing, Communications and Community Relations; Jesus Arreaza, Corporate Banking Relationship Manager; and Carlos Fernandez, Corporate Banking Executive. From Ransom Everglades, John A. King Jr., Associate Head of School; Melanie Hoffmann, Director of Advancement; and Shawn Costantino, Director of Arts.
