Raiders run unbeaten streak to six in 2-1 victory

Senior Sophia Juhasz '23 and junior Sophia Rua '24 came up clutch in the final 12 minutes converting on two scoring opportunities to give the Raiders a 2-1 victory over St. Brendan in a physical, well played game. The Raiders first goal came on a Rua penalty kick to put the Raiders up 1-0 late in the second half.  Seven minutes later St. Brendan would respond with a goal of their own to tie the score. On the ensuing kickoff, the Raiders connected a long ball from freshman Kenzie Connell '26 to senior Sophia Juhasz '23 who outpaced the back line and finished the goal, sealing the win in the final minutes. Junior Mackenzie Buckner '24 held the defense together and had an impressive game at center back. The victory moves the Raiders to 6-2-1 as they prepare to take on Palmer Trinity on the road this coming Wednesday. Game time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
