Raiders defeat Mater Lakes to advance to regional semifinal

Seniors Paolo Rebessi '23 and Carson Stanton-Sharpless '23 accounted for 11 of the teams 13 goals to lead the Raiders to a regional quarterfinal victory over the Mater Lakes Academy Bears by the score of 13-7. Freshman Oliver Friedland '26 and junior Milo Gorey '24 rounded out the scoring with a goal of their own. Despite the early morning start time, the Raiders came out energized with three goals in the first four minutes of play. Mater Lakes would hang tough countering with two goals, but the Raiders would never relinquish the lead in a hard fought victory. Senior Coren O'Brien '23 provided solid goal tending play making nine saves in the win. The Raiders will get back in the pool today as they prepare for a regional semifinal matchup against the second seeded Gulliver Prep Raiders. Game time is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Gulliver.
