Raiders secure berth in ISSA Mallory Fleet Race Nationals

This past weekend the Raider sailing team traveled north to the Carolina Yacht Club at Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina to face off against 16 of the top teams in the southeast including a team from St. Thomas and the US Virgin Islands.  From heavy gusts to breezeless lulls, the Raiders had just about every challenge thrown at them throughout the course of the two day event. Despite the difficult weather conditions, the Raiders sailed to a second place finish in the prestigious event. Congratulations to the team of Jackson McAliley ’23, Manolo Campos ’25, Griggs Diemar ’25, Violet Martin ’24, Ian Fox ’24, Evelyn Yu ’24, Olivia Drulard ’23, and Sophia Adams ’23 for securing a berth at ISSA Mallory Fleet Race Nationals at Toms River, New Jersey. The Raiders will now continue their training in anticipation for Baker Team Race Nationals in a few weeks.
