Name: Bill Bailey
Class Year: 1983
Business Name: Bailey Real Estate Consulting
Job Title: President
Where did you go to college/university: University of Florida
What was your major: Business administration (BS) and Mass Communications (MS)
Where do you currently reside: South Miami
What keeps you busy during the week: Maintaining and planting in the yard, trimming vines (for meditation), walking with my wife and lots of working.
How did Ransom Everglades prepare you for your future: My experience benefits me every day. Of all the subjects, literature was my favorite and I believe the most important as it deals with life and death, freedom, love and hate, etc. I can look at today’s events through the prism of literature to know where we are and where we’re going as a society. I have a firm understanding of these cycles. My favorite teachers are Ms. Proenza and Mrs. Felz.
What is your favorite Ransom Everglades memory: English and Spanish classes. Or, more specifically, a certain beach day on a certain Friday in years past is a fun memory.
What song was on repeat your senior year? Led Zeppelin’s "Stairway to Heaven."
Words of wisdom for your fellow alumni: I’m sure there is no shortage of wisdom there. I should’ve started a company much earlier, as I am better suited to work independently. Confidence (or lack thereof) has a big impact on my performance. When a tennis player has confidence, even if fleeting, the games are won! Daily reminder!
