Review MD8 vs Gulliver Prep
Yesterday, our Middle School Boys Varsity Soccer team faced Gulliver Prep in a challenging match that ended in a 5-2 loss. Gulliver took an early lead, scoring off a set piece and a header in open play to make it 2-0.
Our team showed tremendous resilience and determination in the second half. Sandro Salvat scored off a header, assisted by Sebastian Villamizar, followed by an outstanding free-kick goal from Landon Elfenbein to level the score at 2-2 midway through the second half.
Despite our momentum, a defensive misstep allowed Gulliver to regain the lead. As we pushed forward with high pressing to find another equalizer, Gulliver capitalized on their physicality and the open space, adding two late goals on the counterattack to secure the win.
A huge shoutout to our players for their unwavering effort and fighting spirit, playing with heart until the final whistle. Next up, we take on Palmer Trinity at 3 PM tomorrow, eager to bounce back and return to winning ways. Go Raiders!
