RE sweeps ISSF Geography Bee titles

Ransom Everglades middle and upper school geography teams captured two major geography titles: RE's middle school team of Rohan Harihara '30, Alejandro Gonzalez '30, Izzy Greengrass '30, Cam Fisser '30 and Brady Goldberg '31 secured the fourth straight Independent Schools of South Florida Geography Bee championship for Ransom Everglades on October 21, compiling an undefeated record against eight opposing schools. Less than a month later, RE's upper school academic team of Jacob Aronow '26, Parker Jelke '27, Jaz Puri '28, Evan Powe '29 and Daniel Coscarelli '29 won the upper school ISSF Geography Bee, defeating 16 teams on November 18.
RE's B team of Jack Gonzalez '28, Julian Jelke '29, Noah Veras '29, Iker Fierro Garcia '28 and Hank Derick '28 finished in third place, just one point out of second. The upper school teams competed under coaches Abby Berler and Branly Fontaine and the middle school team worked under coach Joe Mauro. Both competitions took place at the Women's Club of Coral Gables
