Three district titles in one day for Ransom Everglades' golf teams
Ransom Everglades boys' and girls' golf teams won district titles on the same day for the second straight year at the 1A District 15 Championships, and Cole Durham '29 won the boys' individual title as a ninth grader. The boys' team under Dave Ragan included three of the top four finishers, and the girls' team under Roberta Nieves included three of the top five.
The victory gave the boys' team its fifth consecutive district title under Ragan; the Raiders posted a combined score of 289; Miami Country Day finished in second place at 301; and Florida Christian School scored third place with 311. The girls shot a combined 307 to top Divine Savior at 322 and Downtown Doral, which scored 337.
At the championships at Miami Shores Country Club, Durham shot a three-under-par 68, Matteo Bloom '26 tied for second place with a 72, Hugo Stenstrom '26 finished in fourth place with a 74 and Navraj Suri '26 rounded out the team scoring with a 75. Ella Wester '28 led the girls with a 72 for second overall, Nina Fischer '29 shot a 74 for third place, and Misha Gowda '28 nabbed fifth place with a 76. Esha Nagalla '29 rounded out the scoring with an 85.
Both teams advances to the FHSAA Region 4 Tournament; the boys compete November 3 at The Park in West Palm Beach, and the girls compete November 4 at Crandon Park on Key Biscayne.
