All soloists were accompanied by Performing Arts Department Faculty Arn Xu and Tio Gio on piano. 

"This year's ensemble includes recent additional personnel from out of state and from other schools, with several members performing on new instrumental doubles for the first time," Hamm said. "The graduation of a large and storied senior class in May and the addition of a large number of underclassmen make these honors a particularly outstanding achievement. Our Symphonic Band, which has been in existence in our school for nearly 75 years, has more exciting performances on their horizon."

The symphonic band was featured along with the RE Symphony Orchestra and singers in the traditional Veteran's Day Assembly performance on November 11, and in the Under the Stars, A Night of Music and Art event at La Brisa on November 20. This gala evening, produced by Administrative Arts Department Chair Quincy Knowles, Performing Arts Department Chair Cecilia Gonzalez and Visual Arts Department Chair Matt Stock, also featured a variety of visual arts, the RE Jazz Combo and Blue Note Combo with special guests, the String Orchestra and Advanced Chamber Ensemble, the RE String Quartet, the RE Symphony Orchestra and the Combined Symphonic Bands.
