Raiders earn first win of season with strong performance

The Ransom Everglades girls soccer team earned its first win of the season in dominant fashion, defeating Somerset Academy 8–0. Seniors Stella Colombo '26 and Avery Almazan '26 each netted two goals, while junior Ella Balestra '27 and senior Olivia Geller '26 added one apiece. Freshman Lilla Chang '29 turned in her best varsity performance yet, scoring twice to cap the Raiders’ offensive surge. Junior goalkeeper Juju Hommen '27 secured her first career shutout in net. With the victory, the Raiders improves to 1–1 and will look to carry the momentum into the Palm League Quarterfinals at home against Miami Country Day on Monday at 5 p.m.
