Eighth graders excel at Junior Thespian Festival

Ransom Everglades' eighth-grade drama students achieved top honors at the District 4 Junior Thespian Festival November 8 in Miami, helping RE to one of the highest rankings in the district. Jane Palazzi '30 scored the Critics' Choice award (the highest award) for costume design as five students received Top Honors (highest scores) – Sasha Estefan Coppola '30  (solo musical), Keane Mason '30 (duet acting), Miles Caplow '30 (Duet Acting), Joaquin Gonzalez '30 (duet acting) and James Harper '30 (duet acting and monologue).
"What our students accomplished yesterday is nothing short of inspiring," said RE performing arts faculty member Jesús Quintero. "Their courage, creativity and commitment to one another reflect the excellence and heart that define our performing arts at RE."
