Upper school thespians excel at district events

Ransom Everglades upper school thespians scored major team and individual awards and district-wide recognition while participating in a pair of theatre competitions over two weekends. More than a dozen students earned honors, and seven received major accolades under Performing Arts Department Chair Cecilia Gonzalez and performing arts faculty Jésus Quintero.
Blythe Silvetz '27 was named Best Student Director; RE's cast was named Best Ensemble; Olivia Noblet '26 won Best Sound Design; Jackson Berlin '27 earned Lead Dramatic Male Role; and Morgan Williams '26 and Isabella Sayfie Ranawat '26 each won Top Honors for solo musical; they performed at the District 8 Senior Thespians event November 12 at Hialeah Senior High. Chloe Steinberg '27 was named All-Star Crew and Berlin and Victoria (Vivi) Pasos '28 were named All-Star Cast at the Florida Theatre Conference November 7 in Winter Haven. 

In addition, 18 students received "superior" ratings for their performances at the district thespian events. Students performed One Lane Bridge by Stephen Gregg at the Florida Theatre Conference and the District 8 Senior Thespians.
