Raider Sailing rolls in strong performance

Despite blustery conditions cutting the weekend short, the Raiders sailing team turned their home waters into a showcase of dominance. Ransom Everglades hosted two SAISA South Points Regattas this weekend, but high winds and cold temperatures forced Sunday’s racing to be canceled for safety reasons. Saturday, however, delivered six full races across Varsity and Junior Varsity divisions—and the Raiders made the most of it. Competing in medium-to-light wind conditions, the team completed a clean sweep, winning both the Varsity and Junior Varsity regattas and capturing first place in every division. Home-water advantage and relentless preparation paid off, as Raider sailors controlled the fleet from start to finish. Off the water, teammates who were not racing played a key role in keeping energy high and the event running smoothly. Hosting a regatta requires full-team effort, and the Raiders delivered in every way. A special thanks goes to Mr. Sanderson, whose months of planning ensured a flawless event. His organization and constant support helped make the regatta a true success.
