Girls soccer advances to regional semifinal

The Raider girls soccer team advanced to the regional semifinal for the third consecutive season with a 2-0 victory over St. Andrews in the quarterfinal round. After controlling possession for much of the match, the Raiders finally broke through midway through the second half when sophomore Charlie Jaffe ’28 finished a perfectly placed ball from senior Stella Columbo ’26 to put the Raiders on the board. Junior Ella Balestra ’27 added an insurance goal just minutes later to seal the win. Despite cold and challenging weather conditions, the Raiders dominated play from start to finish, limiting St. Andrews’ opportunities and maintaining pressure throughout the match. With the win, the Raiders set up a third matchup this season against True North, traveling on the road Monday, February 9, with a spot in the regional final on the line.
