Sophomore Roan Hurwitz ’28 went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate to power the Raiders to a 13-3 victory over Mater Bay Academy on Monday at Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami. Hurwitz singled in the third, fourth, and fifth innings, finishing the day with two RBIs. The Raiders broke the game open with a seven-run fourth inning. Senior Ryan Alesandro ’26 drove in a run with a single, Hurwitz followed with a two-run single, senior Enrique Macias '26 doubled home a run, sophomore Jorge Gross ’27 added a two-run double, and junior Tyler Grossfeld ’27 drew a bases-loaded walk to cap the rally. Senior Jacob Rubinstein ’26 earned the win on the mound, allowing three hits and three runs (one earned) over 4⅓ innings while striking out seven and walking one. Macias came on in relief to close out the game. The Raiders finished with 11 hits. Macias, Hurwitz, Gross, and Grossfeld each recorded two RBIs, while Rubinstein added two hits in three at-bats. With the win, the Raiders improve to 4-0 on the season and will travel to Miami Country Day School on Wednesday for its next matchup.
