The Raiders boys lacrosse team picked up two huge Palm League victories this weekend, defeating University School 11–10 before edging out Oxbridge Academy 9–8 in a pair of thrilling matchups. Senior Ian Villaraos ’26 led the charge with two goals and an assist, including the go-ahead score to secure the win over Oxbridge. Fellow senior Rauli Matos ’26 delivered an outstanding all-around performance, collecting 11 ground balls, causing 10 turnovers, and playing lockdown defense all weekend. Senior Elijah Ponce ’26 recorded a hat trick in Saturday’s battle against Oxbridge, while sophomore Liam Segal ’28 was dominant throughout the weekend with five goals and three assists. Segal dished out the game-winning assist in the first contest and later tied the game against Oxbridge to keep the Raiders within striking distance. Senior Wes Barnett ’26 added four goals and two assists, including the dramatic game-winner with seconds remaining Friday against University School. In goal, senior Jackson Crowley anchored the defense with a combined 30+ saves across both games. The Raiders’ balanced offensive attack and relentless defensive effort powered them to two statement wins in Palm League play.
