On Tuesday, the girls’ water polo team hosted their first home game of the season against St. Thomas Aquinas High School, whose team is currently ranked 8th in the state. The match began as a tightly contested battle, with both teams trading goals throughout the opening quarter. In the second quarter, however, the RE girls elevated their play—tightening up defensively and shifting the momentum. Goalkeeper Dottie Spencer-Funchion '29 delivered an outstanding performance, making several key blocks and launching precise outlet passes that sparked fast-break counterattacks. The team maintained their intensity through the second half, with every player contributing to the effort. Their balanced play and strong teamwork secured a critical 19–15 victory as the Raiders make their push toward the postseason.
