The Raider Girls Varsity Volleyball team opened the 2026 season on their home floor in impressive fashion, earning a straight-set victory over Archbishop Carroll, 25-21, 25-20, 25-11. The Raiders came out strong and continued to build momentum throughout the match, closing out the third set decisively to secure the season-opening win. Sophomore Abigail Zichella '29 led the offensive attack with 8 kills and 2 aces, while freshman Adriana Hufsky '30 added 6 kills and 2 aces in an impressive varsity debut. Junior Evangeline Steiner '28 contributed 5 kills and a block, and sophomore Maya Morlacchi '29 added 5 kills and an ace. Defensively, sophomore Lola Picchetti '29 recorded 7 digs, 5 receptions, and 3 aces, while senior Myla Zuckerman '27 provided a strong presence with 10 receptions and 6 digs. Sophomore Nalah Picchetti '29 helped direct the offense with 15 assists while adding 8 digs. The Raiders will look to build on the strong opening performance as they continue the 2026 season.
