The Ransom Everglades girls varsity volleyball team continued its strong start to the season Tuesday, cruising to a straight-set victory over Downtown Doral to improve to 2–0 on the season. The Raiders came out swinging from the opening serve, dominating the first set 25–9. They continued to control the match in the second and third sets, earning victories of 25–18 and 25–21 to complete the sweep. Freshman Adriana Hufsky ’30 and sophomore Abigail Zichella ’29 led the offensive attack, combining for an impressive 24 kills while dominating at the net. Senior Sarah Wals ’27 added six kills, while sophomore Nalah Picchetti ’29 orchestrated the offense with 21 assists in a strong all-around performance. With the victory, the Raiders improve to 2–0 and will look to remain unbeaten when they host Don Soffer High School on Tuesday. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
