RE hosts teaching institute for summer learning

The third annual RE Summer Institute for Teachers welcomed 41 educators from across Miami for two days of collaborative, hands-on professional learning under the direction of RE Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning Matthew Helmers. The August 6-7 program featured new sessions on designing lessons with AI, crafting thoughtful starts to the academic year and understanding student behavior, alongside well-established sessions on civil discourse, unit design and discussion-based teaching. Participants – which included new faculty at RE – exchanged practical ideas and developed resources they could carry directly into the new school year, learning from the expertise and creativity of RE’s exceptional faculty.
