Upper school and middle school join forces to address food insecurity

Led by members of the Volunteer Service Council, Ransom Everglades students on both campuses donated non-perishable food items and toiletries for a food and supplies distribution in Miami on September 12. Several RE students and alumni helped distribute the goods, joining the service teams for the Joshua's Heart Foundation event at a local shopping plaza while extending a 13-year partnership built on the RE core value of Service & Outreach.
The campus supply drive was student organized and run under the direction of VSC President Olivia Gomez '27. Students and alumni including Daniela Erana Andrade '98, Natalia Andrade '29 and Camille Davis '32 also prepared 50 bags of food/produce and 50 bags of toiletries for local Coconut Grove families, dropping those off at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.

Ransom Everglades is proud to extend its partnership with Joshua's Heart, an organization founded by Joshua Williams '18 that has worked to address food insecurity in South Florida.
