Raiders roll on senior night, move to 7-1

The Raiders celebrated senior night in style on Friday, honoring 13 seniors in a special pregame ceremony before delivering an impressive 38-15 victory over University School. The win improved the Raiders' record to 7-1 and provided a fitting finish to their home schedule. Junior running back Noah Alce ’28 stole the show with a spectacular performance, rushing for 217 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries. His night was highlighted by an electrifying 95-yard touchdown run. Alce also made an impact in the passing game, hauling in two receptions for 46 yards. Sophomore quarterback Alfonso Llanes ’29 continued his steady play under center, completing 12 of 18 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns. Junior wide receiver Colton Smith ’28 was once again his favorite target, finishing with seven receptions for 87 yards and two touchdowns as he continues to close in on the impressive 1,000-yard receiving milestone. Defensively, the Raiders were relentless. The defensive front spent much of the night in the University School backfield, combining for a season-high 10 sacks and making life difficult for the Sharks' offense from start to finish. With the victory, the Raiders close out their home slate with plenty of momentum and a 7-1 record. Now, their attention turns to two important road tests to finish the regular season, beginning next Friday night against St. John Neumann at 7:30 p.m. With the postseason approaching, the Raiders will look to build on their strong play and carry that momentum into the final stretch of the season.
