String students excel at all-state event

Laura Liu '19 was selected principal chair of the viola section for the 9-10 Concert Orchestra at the Florida Music Educators Association All-State Conference Jan. 13-16; Laura was selected for the event along with violinists Declan Cummiskey '17 (11-12 Symphony Orchestra) and Zoe Sawatari '20 (7-8 Honors Orchestra).
In other news, 10 students received a superior rating and eight an excellent rating at the District 16 Orchestra Solo and Ensemble Music Performance Assessment Feb. 6 at G. Holmes Braddock Senior High in Miami. Here are the results:
