Raiders now 3-0 on the season

The Raiders moved to 3-0 on the season, 2-0 in conference play. The Raiders have their 1st home game of the year this Friday Sept 9 at 7:30 pm vs Pinecrest.
The Raider Varsity Football Team had to earn a hard fought victory Friday Night in the Keys vs Marathon HS.  After scoring first on a 18 yard Touchdown Pass  from Andres Sanchez to Max Fuster, the Raiders would fall behind the host team. The Raiders trailed for the first time this season and had to overcome 14-20 deficit , late in the 2nd Quarter. A key 35 yard Field Goal by Nico Ramos cut the lead to 17-20 at halftime.
 
From that point on the Raiders took control of the game by scoring 16 unanswered points, to earn the 30-20 victory. The victory moves the Raiders to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in conference play. The 2nd Half defensive shoutout was led by dominate play by Eddie Montalvo, Blake Denson, Reece Ritzenthaler, Michael Colonna, and the entire Raiders "D". 
 OJ Armstrong provided all the scoring needed in the 2nd Half, by throwing 34 Yard Touchdown Pass to Michael Colonna. The highlight of the game was an electric 65 yard Punt Return TD, the gave the Raiders the lead for good. Armstrong also had an 80 yard TD Run in the 1st half. 
 
After 3 road victories to start the year, the team finally gets to play at home. With great fan support at all 3 road games, their Raiders will hope to take advantage of the home crowd in their home opener this Friday vs Pinecrest at 7:30pm. Please arrived early and cheer loudly.....Go Raiders !!!
