A record number of alumni – 212 – attended the annual Alumni Holiday Party Dec. 15 in the Quad, coming back to campus for excellent food, music and company while also donating more than 100 individual toys for children at Centro Mater through REACH Too. Head of School Penny Townsend provided an update on plans for a new STEM building and Alumni Board Vice President Rachel Greer Narvaez '99 offered a warm welcome.
Guests included faculty emeritus, former faculty, former trustees as well as current faculty, alumni board members, trustees and donors from the last three years. Board Chairman Rudy Prio Touzet '76 attended, as did 2016 Olympic gold medal winner Ashleigh Johnson '16 and sister Chelsea Johnson '14.
The Frost School of Music and acclaimed RE Combo – Joon Kim '17, Luca Gonzalez-Abreu '18, Leo Menninger '18 and Ben Arriola '18 – provided music from the Senior Deck. The event returned to campus for the first time after several years at Villa Woodbine.
