Middle School students win South Florida geography title

The Middle School geography team of Vivi Davis ‘21, Daniel Fisher ’21, Javi Kumar ’22, Frank McPhillips ’21 and Nikhil Seshadri ’21 won the Independent Schools of South Florida Geography Bee held on Feb.16 at the Coral Gables Women’s Club. It was the team's fifth title in six years.
Led by history teacher Joe Mauro, the team posted a 4-0 record in the morning preliminary rounds and a 3-0 record in the afternoon play-off rounds. In the final round against St. Theresa School in Coral Gables, the Raiders triumphed by a 24-17 margin.
