Beach volleyball debuts in Middle School

In the debut season of girls’ beach volleyball at RE’s Middle School, Cami Lindsey '21 and Kelli Miller '21 won the South Florida Middle School Conference championship May 13 and helped the team to three regular-season victories in four meetings with rival schools. Lindsey and Miller, the team captains, led a roster of 19 girls under the guidance of coaches Josh D’Alemberte and Becca Manning.
At the SFMSC championships, Yasmine Zaydon '21 and Juju Simoes '22 placed second in the “B” division and Leila Zaydon '23 and Carolina Gallagher '23 placed second in the “C” division.
 
Ransom Everglades went 1-1 this year against Westminster Christian – last year’s middle school champion – and defeated Florida Christian and Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart. The team practiced and played at Kennedy Park in Coconut Grove.
