Class of '21 cleans up waterfront on day off from school
A team of freshmen – Natalia de la Fuente, Gaily Alfi, Isabel Almada-Sabate, Gori Spillis, Allegra Pietzch-Lane, Martina Awad, Dani Sanchez, Dani Kaplan and Shuli Rosenfeld – showed up to school on a day off from classes to clean up trash that had lodged in the mangroves lining the athletics field at the Upper School.
The student-organized effort on Oct. 16 included faculty members Corinne Rhyner, Paul Elkins, Karen Thompson, Abby Berler, Vigi Sklar and RE parent Adriana Atwill. Natalia de la Fuente initiated the clean-up after becoming troubled at the trash that had washed up into the mangroves after recent storms.
