RE math team nets fifth in regional event
RE's math team entered teams in geometry, precalculus, calculus and statistics events and finished fifth overall among 59 schools at a major Florida Association of Mu Alpha Theta meet – the Cypress Bay Regional 2018 – on March 3. The precalculus team led by Jen Lin '20 had the best finish (fifth) as the statistics team of Valeria Vela '19 and Donna Zheng '19 claimed seventh with just two of four allowable competitors.
Geometry led by Yuhan Liu '21 finished seventh and calculus, led by Jacob Tie-Shue '18, got sixth. Faculty member Karen Key led the Upper School competitors.
