Middle School Boys' Track & Field Completes Season with Conference Championship

The Raiders Middle School Boys' Varsity Track team performed with excellence at the meet on April 6. Fifteen boys represented the Raiders at the meet, and each boy contributed to the success of the meet. Sixth graders helped to lead the team to victory by earning points in a variety of events, including first-time point-earners, Paul Gould who placed seventh in the long jump, Alan Motoki, who placed eighth in the discus, and George Wood-Leness, who placed seventh in the 1600 meter run. Myles Heller placed sixth in the 100 meter hurdles. David Serra won the 1600 meter, placed third on the 800 meter run, and also placed third in the high jump. Jordan Gonzalez placed fourth in the high jump, sixth in the 100 meter dash, and seventh in the 200 meter dash. Santiago Sauceda placed seventh in both the shot put and the 100 meter dash. Alexander Tong placed fourth in the discus throw and third in the 100 meter hurdles. Nicholas Viana placed tenth in both the shot put throw and the discus throw. Joseph David placed eleventh in the long jump and tenth in the 400 meter dash. The seventh grade boys also performed well at the track meet. Tyler Woodard placed seventh in the 400 meter dash. Branden Cabrera helped the 4 X 800 meter relay team to a third place finish. Rogelio Munoz-Franco contributed to an impressive 34.5 points towards the team. He placed second in the 100 meter hurdles, tied for third place in the 100 meter dash, placed fourth in the 200 meter dash, and ran on both the 4 X 100 meter and 4 X 400 meter relays on which the Raiders placed second. We were fortunate to have the experience of several eighth graders who gracefully led our team. David Dubovy finished his eighth grade career by placing ninth in the long jump, fourth in the shot put throw, and fourth in the 100 meter hurdles. Mihir Pabby completed his eighth grade track and field career by placing third on the 4 X 800 meter relay, fourteenth on the 800 meter run, ninth on the shot put throw, and fifth on the discus throw. We wish our eighth grade boys the very best and thank them for a great season!
