Middle School Girls' Track & Field Completes Season with Third Place Finish at Conference Championship

The Middle School Girls' Track and Field Team placed third at the South Florida Middle School Conference Championship. Four sixth grade girls participated in the meet, and contributed to their overall strong performance. Marella Rebessi placed ninth in the long jump, eighth in the 100 meter dash, fifth in the 200 meter dash, and third with the 4 X 400 meter relay team. Isabella Swimmer-Zuniga placed tenth in the shot put throw. Olivia Janette placed ninth in the 100 meter dash. Carolina Font placed tenth in the 400 meter dash and third in the 4 X 400 meter relay. Three seventh grade girls contributed to the success of the team in various events. Catalina Cisneros placed eleventh in the 100 meter hurdles. Ysatis Jadotte helped the 4 X 100 meter relay as well as the 4 X 400 meter relay to third place finishes. Annabelle Sanders finished eleventh in the 1600 meter dash and helped the 4 X 400 meter relay team to a third place finish. Nine eighth grade girls participated in the track meet. Esther Gao enjoyed a successful season and finished in 6th place in the shot put throw. Lauren Zanarini finished ninth in the 100 meter hurdles and helped the 4 X 100 meter relay team to a third place finish. Paisley Verea also finished third in the 4 X 100 meter relay and placed eighth in the 100 meter hurdles. Clara Vilalba finished fourteenth in the 1600 meter run. Katya Sucher placed seventh in the shot put and tenth in the discus throw. Zoe Punjwani placed ninth in the 400 meter dash and fourteenth in the 200 meter dash. Nika Kazumyan placed twelfth in the shot put throw and sixth in the discus throw. Lucia Font finished her middle school track career by placing seventh in the 100 meter hurdles, sixth place in the 100 meter dash and the two hundred meter dash, and anchoring the 4 X 100 meter relay. Madison Munroe finished her middle school career by winning the 800 meter run, and she also completed her season undefeated in the 1600 meter run. We wish our eighth graders the best in their future endeavors and congratulate them on a successful season.
