RE girls' lacrosse gets fourth district title

RE girls' lacrosse won its fourth district title in a row with a dominant 18-2 victory over Miami Palmetto Senior High on April 18, launching the squad into the regional playoffs with a 13-2 record. In just its fifth season, the young team has been led by midfielder Erin Bakes '18, who is considered one of the top players in the nation and was recently featured in the Florida Lacrosse News.
Bakes, a two-time All-American who has committed to the University of Southern California, had scored 56 goals and contributed 23 assists as of the district title game. Calliste Skouras '19 had chipped in 27 goals and 10 assists; Sophia Antezana '20 added 32 goals and 18 assists; and Ellie Dyke '21 scored 22 with five assists. Goalkeeper Helaina Harris '21 collected 104 saves, getting help from defenders Catherine Kolski '18 and Lauryn Bausley '18, tri-captains along with Bakes.
