Coed Varsity Sailing Finishes Second at First Regatta of the Season
On Saturday the Varsity and Junior Varsity Sailing Teams competed in their first district regatta of the fall season. The team, led by senior co-captain Julia Johansson, battled all day with Immaculata-La Salle for the lead in the 24 boat fleet. Twenty-four high school teams competed at the regatta, which took place in Hollywood, FL. Heading into the last of 18 races, La Salle and Ransom Everglades were tied for first place. After a very exciting last race with both teams match-racing each other, La Salle came out on top by a small margin of victory of only two points. In a separate fleet, the Junior Varsity II and Junior Varsity I fleets finished in 6th and 9th place respectively.
