'Spelling Bee' musical delights

The Upper School showed off its performing might with the heartwarming musical comedy "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," which included lead performers ranging from freshmen to seniors, singing, dancing and live music from RE musicians.
Spelling bee finalists Cameron Franklin '22, Abigail Aldrich '20, Matthew ZIde '22, Juan Roca-Paisley '19, Rachel Seipp '19 and Isabella Pena '19 alternately bonded and sparred under the watchful eyes of Jamie Lockhart '21, Greg Cooper and Matthew Rocca '19. The kids invited audience members to the stage to join in the bee, providing opportunities for impromptu jokes.

Faculty member Samantha Shapiro directed the actors; Jon Hamm arranged the music. Photo Gallery
