Steinhardt '23 wins RE spelling bee

Liv Steinhardt '23 spelled "exordium" to win the RE Middle School spelling bee on Dec. 6, earning the opportunity to represent Ransom Everglades at the 79th Annual Miami Herald Spelling Bee in February. Steinhardt survived a grueling competition that stretched over two days and required nearly two dozen rounds, finally topping second-place finisher Evy Alsup '24, who got tripped up by "aphorism," and third-place finisher Hudson Kaplan '25, who missed "lobelia." More than 20 students participated under the direction of faculty member Jody Salzinger.
