Back to School

Welcome! Our back-to-school page is designed to help new and returning RE families prepare for the 2025-26 school year by aggregating information on topics ranging from textbooks to school forms to student orientation. For those of you who have just joined the RE community, we are thrilled to have you and know you will love your time at Ransom Everglades. Please return to this page throughout the summer; it will be updated as new information becomes available.

List of 17 items.

  • School Uniforms

Ransom Everglades has a new middle school uniform vendor, GreenThread. Please see this email for more information.

There is no uniform for the upper school.

Please note that full dress code requirements will be available in the 2025-26 Student Handbook.
  • Technology Information / Laptops

New students and parents should visit RE's Technology Start Up web page to learn how to access myCOMPASS (the school's learning management system) and set up the student's RE email account.

RE's Technology Services Department is available to assist our students and parents. Please email REsolve@ransomeverglades.org with requests for technical assistance. Summer support hours are 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Returning students will retain their school-issued laptops over the summer. If laptops are damaged, experiencing hardware issues, or not functioning properly, students may bring them to the Technology Services Office on either campus for repair through May 29. After May 29, all laptops in need of repair must be dropped off exclusively at the upper school Technology Services Office.

Laptop repair service will be available through June 13, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
  • Textbooks

Book ordering and distribution for most required books is managed through MBS Direct, our online book distributor. MBS Direct offers families several options for most books, including purchasing or renting them, and including new, used, and electronic options as they are available by title. This range of options allows families to make decisions based on cost and student preference.

Distribution of trade paperback books, typically used in English classes, and special titles, such as math textbooks authored by our own faculty members, certain course packs and digital content are managed directly by the RE Store.

The RE Store staff is available to assist with this process; feel free to contact the RE Store if you have questions.
  • School Forms (due August 1)

Online school forms will be available on myCOMPASS in May. (New families will receive instructions from the Technology Services Department about accessing myCOMPASS).

At your earliest convenience after the forms are open, please complete them for each of your children, updating contact, emergency and medical information, and giving or declining permissions for certain school activities.

The school forms are due August 1. Students will not be permitted to access technology, attend classes or participate in any co- or extra-curricular activities until all of their school forms have been completed and turned in. To ensure the safety of our students, this policy will be strictly enforced. If you have difficulty accessing the forms after their release in May, please email our Technology Services Department at REsolve@ransomeverglades.org.
  • Bus Service

Ransom Everglades School offers bus service to and from pick-up/drop-off locations in Miami/Miami Beach, Key Biscayne/Brickell and Pinecrest/Coral Gables. The service is provided to and from both campuses by Franmar Bus Company.
