10 a.m.-12 p.m. Mandatory graduation rehearsal on campus: All seniors must participate in the graduation rehearsals. Commencement ceremony tickets are given to the students at the rehearsal.

Thursday, May 21, 2026

11:40 a.m. Mandatory graduation rehearsal and morning events: The yearbook dedication assembly will start at 11:40 a.m. in the Lewis Family Auditorium, followed by the required graduation rehearsal from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. After rehearsal, seniors are photographed wearing T-shirts or other gear from the colleges they will be attending in the fall.

10 a.m. Commencement: The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. at the Lewis Family Auditorium.

  • 8 a.m. Seniors will assemble in the Rehearsal Hall at 8 a.m.; students who arrive late will miss the class photograph! Seniors must be dropped off; there is no parking for seniors on campus. See information about parking for guests below. 
  • 9:15 a.m. Doors to the auditorium will open for ticketed guests only. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • 10 a.m. The ceremony will start promptly at 10 a.m. and should conclude at approximately 12:30 p.m.

  • Attire for Seniors

    Seniors must wear either a dark-colored suit, white dress shirt, tie, and dress shoes in the tradition of the Ransom School or, in the tradition of the Everglades School for Girls, a dress, suit, or pantsuit that is white or off-white and of a modest style, pattern, and material, along with dress shoes. Attire must extend at least to the knee. It also must cover the shoulders or include shoulder straps with a width of two inches or more (approximately three to four fingers wide). Strapless, halter, backless, spaghetti-strapped and similar styles are prohibited.
     
    To ensure that all graduates are dressed in a manner that is consistent with the guidelines above, all commencement ceremony attire must be approved by Assistant Head of the Upper School Adriana Sanchez or the Academic Dean of the Senior Class Miriann Meyeringh by Friday, May 1. Students must email Mrs. Sanchez or Mrs. Meyeringh photos showing students from the front, back and sides in the attire they intend to wear.   • Seniors' Arrival

    Seniors will assemble in Rehearsal Hall at 8 a.m. on the morning of commencement. They must be dropped off; there is no parking for seniors on campus. Seniors arriving late will not be included in the class photo. 
  • Invitations

    By mid-March, each senior will receive a box containing four graduation invitations and 20 announcements.
  • Tickets

    Due to limited seating in the auditorium, the family of each senior will receive four tickets to the commencement ceremony. Seniors will receive their tickets after the first required graduation rehearsal. Families who need additional tickets may place their names on a waiting list in the Head of the Upper School’s office. Those requests will be honored, if possible, as unneeded tickets become available. Please contact Maria Elena Gonzalez via email or at 305 460 8855 to be placed on the waiting list for additional tickets.

  • Seating in the Auditorium

    Doors to the auditorium will open at 9:15 a.m. for ticketed guests only. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The ceremony will start promptly at 10 a.m. and should conclude at approximately 12:30 p.m.
  • Special Assistance

    Ransom Everglades will live stream the commencement so that those who cannot attend may watch the celebration here.
  • Photographs

    The school has retained a professional photographer to take a class photo, various photos before, during and after the ceremony, as well as individual photographs of each senior with the RE diploma. Our hope is that our families will sit back and enjoy the ceremony. We will make all of the photographs available to the families of our seniors.
  • Parking for Family and Friends

    On-campus parking will be extremely limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis after 8 a.m. We recommend that parents and guests use ride-sharing services.  There will be a drop-off and pick-up station for ride-sharing vehicles in the main entry loop. Once the on-campus lot is full, guests will be asked to park on surrounding streets or in pay parking lots in Coconut Grove.

  • Do I need tickets to attend commencement?
