10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Required commencement rehearsal begins promptly at 10 a.m. in the Lewis Family Auditorium. All seniors must participate in this rehearsal. Tickets to the commencement ceremony are given to the students at this rehearsal. Please see Tickets for Commencement information on this page.

Friday, May 25, 2018

8 a.m. Seniors assemble for commencement in the Upper School Rehearsal Hall.

9:15 a.m. Doors to the auditorium open for ticketed guests only. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please see Tickets for Commencement information on this page.

10 a.m. The ceremony starts promptly at 10 a.m. and concludes at approximately 12 p.m.

  • Invitations

    By late April, each senior receives a box containing four graduation invitations and 20 announcements. Additional announcements and invitations are available should there be a need for more.

  • Special-Needs Seating

    Should one of your guests need special assistance with seating such as wheelchair accessibility, contact Greg Pollard via email or at 305 460 8820.

  • Tickets for Commencement

    Due to limited seating available in the auditorium, the families of each senior receives four tickets to the commencement ceremony. These tickets are given to the students on the first day of rehearsal, Wednesday, May 23.

    Families may share unneeded tickets with others, or return them to the office of the Head of the Upper School. Returned tickets are used to accommodate those in need of additional tickets.

    Families desiring more than four tickets may place their names on a waiting list in the Head of the Upper School’s office. Those requests are honored, if possible, as unneeded tickets become available. Please contact Mrs. Gonzalez via email  or at 305 460 8855 to be placed on the waiting list for additional tickets.

    Ransom Everglades live streams the commencement so that those without tickets or who cannot attend may watch the celebration here.
  • Attire for Seniors

    Students must wear a dark-colored suit, white dress shirt, tie and dress shoes, or, in the tradition of the Everglades School for Girls, a white or off-white dress, suit or pant suit of a modest style, pattern and material, and dress shoes. Attire must cover the shoulders and extend at least to the knee.

    To ensure that all graduates are dressed in a manner that is consistent with the prescriptions above, all dresses must be approved by Ms. Danielson by Friday, May 11. Please contact Ms. Danielson via email or at 305 460 8803 with questions about commencement attire.

  • Commencement Rehearsals

    Commencement rehearsals take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23 and Thursday, May 24 in the Lewis Family Auditorium. All seniors must participate in these rehearsals.

  • Student Behavior

    Commencement is a ceremony to formally recognize the academic achievement of the graduating class. It is our sincere hope that the 2018 senior class will want to make their graduation ceremony a positive and meaningful memory for their family, their friends, their teachers and certainly for themselves.

  • Photographs

    The school has retained a photographer to take a class photo as well as individual photographs of each senior on stage with his/her diploma. Our hope is that our families will sit back and enjoy the ceremony. We will make all of the photographs available via the school photo galleries on the RE website.
  • Parking

    There is no parking available to seniors on campus. Seniors should make arrangements to be dropped off at school by 8 a.m.
     
    Families and friends attending the commencement ceremony are invited to park on campus, but please consider carpooling as there is limited parking space on campus. Overflow parking will be at these two locations: 
     
    Parking lot across from the post office; 3140 Grand Avenue
    Plymouth Congregational Church
     
    Both locations will have shuttle service to and from campus provided by Ransom Everglades School.
