Middle school robotics team scores two major awards
Ransom Everglades robotics students excelled at the VEX IQ Robotics Competition Mix & Match Qualifier held recently at Rockway Middle School in Miami on January 24. In a field of 35 teams, Jack Milota '30, Ryan Kantesaria '30, Jayden Goodman '30 and Alex Lord Borja '30 secured two of the tournament's top honors: the Amaze Award, recognizing excellence in robot design and programming, and Robot Skills Champion.
RE was also represented by Ivy Chen '30, Alia Rahman '30, Maya Sigelman '30, Ria Pabby '30 and Ubai Del Coso Pena '30, who performed well but did not claim any awards. Both teams are coached by RE STEM faculty members Gus Palacios and Joao Ribeiro.

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida.
