Ransom Everglades upper school student-writers excelled in the 2026 Regional Scholastic Writing Awards, collecting four Gold Keys, 12 Silver Keys, and 14 Honorable Mentions, highlighting RE's literary talent in categories including poetry, fiction-writing and screenplays. Isla Dua '27, Victoria De Vera ’27, Patrick Keedy Brown ’26, and Michael Kong ’28 each earned multiple awards including prestigious Gold Key recognitions, putting them in the top seven percent of all regional entries and advancing in the national competition.
De Vera and Dua also earned Silver Keys as did Dylan Beyda '28, Maya Bhandari '28, Adriana Teresa Coello de Portugal Guerrero '29, Eva Cunningham '27, Olivia Karp '27 (two awards), Lily Merrick '29, Lily Poses '26, Eliana Schimmel '29 and Anne Wood-Leness '27. Dua, Keedy Brown and Kong also scored Honorable Mentions, joining six other RE students.
The results reflect RE's commitment to the humanities and showcase student mastery across many literary categories.
